When my beloved cat friend, Phoenix-Kat( AKA Phoenix Comte de la Phiend), died I was very sad.

 I painted his portrait in the hope the experience would offer some catharsis. 

I then decided to make a website in his honour.  He was the type of cat who was always interested in what I was doing, and used to hang out at the computer with me when I was checking emails etc, so I thought, if he was still alive (and if his paws were capable of typing) he would have loved to have his own web site.  I started the site, then decided that to really do Phoenix-Kat’s memory justice, the site would have to have its own domain name as well, and  that’s how this site came to be,

A safe place for animals everywhere!

I am creative and have low tolerance with humanity in general! 

Humans generically find me boring

and I find them scary!!!

I prefer the company animals to that of people, and adore my animal friends. 

We currently have three pet rats,3 cats, several budgies, two lorikeets, a tank of tropical fish inlcuidng Larry -the-Loach, and a black and white Shi Tzu (of the Dog Blog fame).

There are friendly possums, blue tongue lizards, geckos, and fruitbats living near the back yard, and we leave out treats for them on occasion.
